Dear everyone in the United States....I forgot to mention this last night. The toilet seats are heated here. I mean, this may be what I want for Christmas. When we first got to our hotel room, and I sat down (yes Mom, I was using a toilet cover) I thought---ugh, someone must have been sitting on this right before we checked in. :( Gross. Then, when we went to dinner the seat was clearly hot-ish (yes, still using a seat cover). How cool! This morning I was excited to try the thing again!
Oh, another thing for the moms reading....we know this is important to you....we have not seen a drop of trash or litter. It is so clean here! And, it is very, very safe.
Alrighty, we are headed out to get some breakfast, walk back down to the fish market (we want to see it with the hustle and bustle of the morning), and then hop on the bullet train to Kyoto. We have a tour set up for the evening.
